I am trying out different ways of meditation. I know that when I take the time to meditate every day, even if only for a few minutes, I feel much calmer and am able to observe situations without reacting to them with strong feelings.
I have completed the 10 day free trial with Headspace and have now signed up. I like that it is just for 10 minutes and there is someone who takes you through the process.
I also enjoy meditation groups as I feel I benefit from the energy that others bring to a group. Every day I think about things that I am grateful for in my life, consistent practise in this helps re-wire the neurons in your brain, as Rick Hanson says “neurons that fire together, wire together”.
YouTube is another great resource to use for hypnosis and meditations. I enjoy Michael Sealey for when its difficult getting to sleep or I wake up in the early hours of the morning.
